Frequently Asked Questions

Everything founders ask before they commit to PlanMySaaS — how the AI pipeline actually works, what the output looks like, where your data goes, and when the tool is (and is not) the right fit.

Most questions on this page come directly from support tickets and sales calls. If something feels vague on the rest of the site, the honest answer lives here. The list is grouped into five themes: how it works, output and quality, pricing and credits, security and ownership, and team usage and integrations. Use the category filter below to jump straight to the topic you care about, or scroll through the whole list if you are evaluating the product end-to-end.

If your question is not here, the quickest path is an email to support@planmysaas.com — we reply within one business day and add common ones back into this page. For anything account-specific, the in-app chat is usually faster.

PlanMySaaS is not a blank-page writing tool. It is a structured pipeline: you describe a product idea in plain language, and the platform runs a chain of AI passes that produce research, an architecture, a feature breakdown, a phase plan, and a prompt library a developer (human or AI) can execute against. The output is opinionated — you get a real recommendation, not a menu of options — and it is versioned, so every regeneration is a separate snapshot you can diff, branch, or roll back.

Founders who get the most value are the ones who know what problem they are solving but have not written the spec yet. If you have a clear idea but cannot answer “what are the 12 features, which ships first, and what's the data model,” PlanMySaaS fills that gap in an afternoon. If you are still exploring which problem to solve, start with the ideas directory instead.

The tool is deliberately narrow on three things: (1) it plans SaaS and web products — not mobile games, hardware, or content sites; (2) it outputs English-language plans — code generation is handed off to Cursor, Copilot, or Claude Code via the included Prompt Pack; (3) every artifact is markdown/JSON you own and can export — we never lock you into a proprietary format.
